Rebranding: Frontier Farms

The genesis of Frontier Farms, LTD, is over 200 years in the making. The Hicks family began in the cattle business in central Indiana in 1822. Present-day Frontier Farms has previously been known as Diamond H Cattle Company, King Cattle Company, and today, Frontier Farms. Since leaving Indiana in 2018, Frontier Farms has settled in the bluegrass country of north central Kentucky. While the name has changed, the commitment to superior cattle genetics hasn’t wavered.

The new hot brand was inspired by a brand discovered in a historic Utah ranch registry. The “bar wigwam” brand represents the pioneering spirit of the Hicks family, their love of the western lifestyle, their own Native American heritage, and a nod to the Shawnee Indians who once lived in wigwams on the Kentucky frontier.

The Hicks family maintains its dedication to offering superior Simmental and Sim/Angus genetics along with its commitment to top-notch customer service. With decades of combined experience as cattle producers, in the showring, and the expertise of Dr. Kristen Hicks as in-house veterinarian, Frontier Farms is excited build upon its heritage, pioneer its future, and build a legacy for future generations.
